So the thing about wishing for home and accidentally winding up with your place of employment is that that employment can now transfer to Teleios. Cami's had Rousseau's for about six months now, and she's managed to change it into the place that Sophie and Jane Anne loved to something that's a little more something of Teleios, even if she kept a lot of the New Orleans flair. It's something she couldn't bring herself to take away, that memory of home, even if she's far, far away.

The upper floors have been modified into a small loft for her and Hope, something simple and comfortable that's currently loaded with baby toys because when you're being spoiled by your Aunt Cami, you can never have too many. She still doesn't know why Hope came with her when she was brought into Teleios, but she is going to do everything in her power to keep her safe until Klaus our Hayley get here. It's not much power, given the measly human of it all, but that's why she hires attractive, strapping supernatural gentlemen to do her dirty work for her.

Currently she's behind the bar, with Hope in her playpen that she worked in there, just so she can keep an eye on her. She's more than willing to pour you a drink, listen to your troubles and woes and make sure that you leave her bar with your mind feeling a little lighter. After all, there's nothing more dangerous than a bartender who also happens to be a psychologist. She'll get what you're worried about out of you sooner or later.

Before she can stop herself, again, it slips out. "Your face."

Brett, as a rule, is not the most tactful person on the planet. She's actually really tactless most of the time. Not unkind, just plain and blunt in her dry delivery, something that is often misconstrued as her being outright bitchy.

Which is fair, really, just not true.

Still, she doesn't correct herself or qualify her statement. He looks like he was punched in the face with a two by four. Jake can fix that, she knows he'll probably be itching too if he got near enough anyway, might as well make the offer for him. Her eyes flicker back up. "Unless you want to look like Cinderella Man."

"..." Adam snorts at the answer since that was really fucking to the point, and it's not like he cares much about tact himself. "What? You think my face is broken or something?"

Well, it... kind of is, Adam. He just gets used to it, and the werewolf healing kicks in so it's not like permanent damage sticks around. It'll heal in the matter of a couple of days at the most depending on the strength of the bruising itself.

Not that he knows that from lots and lots of experience... or anything.

"Cinderella Man?" He lifts up his eyebrows in confusion. Most pop references kind of go over his head especially within the last fifteen years when he was in Lucien's castle.

"Famous boxer in Depression era New Jersey. Russell Crowe? Not ringing any bells? Well, he gets the shit beat out of him on the daily. Looks a little like that." She motions with her cracked cast toward his face. His face looks like a depression era boxer.

From New Jersey.

Adam shakes his head in response, because no, definitely not ringing any bells. Then he snorts lightly. "Well, sounds like it's a pretty fucking accurate thing to call me then," he says as he also gets the shit beaten out of him on the daily. "it'll heal pretty fast."

In a few days, there won't be a bruise left.

She shrugs, she wasn't ever going to push him very hard about it, she just really wanted to make sure she got the jump on Jake's compulsion to heal people all willy nilly. Now she knows this one doesn't need it and can pass it along to her twin.

"Okay. Good luck, Cinderella Man."
