party post } { drinks are on me

So the thing about wishing for home and accidentally winding up with your place of employment is that that employment can now transfer to Teleios. Cami's had Rousseau's for about six months now, and she's managed to change it into the place that Sophie and Jane Anne loved to something that's a little more something of Teleios, even if she kept a lot of the New Orleans flair. It's something she couldn't bring herself to take away, that memory of home, even if she's far, far away.

The upper floors have been modified into a small loft for her and Hope, something simple and comfortable that's currently loaded with baby toys because when you're being spoiled by your Aunt Cami, you can never have too many. She still doesn't know why Hope came with her when she was brought into Teleios, but she is going to do everything in her power to keep her safe until Klaus our Hayley get here. It's not much power, given the measly human of it all, but that's why she hires attractive, strapping supernatural gentlemen to do her dirty work for her.

Currently she's behind the bar, with Hope in her playpen that she worked in there, just so she can keep an eye on her. She's more than willing to pour you a drink, listen to your troubles and woes and make sure that you leave her bar with your mind feeling a little lighter. After all, there's nothing more dangerous than a bartender who also happens to be a psychologist. She'll get what you're worried about out of you sooner or later.

It's very, very likely that they won't stop until one of them kills the other. Faye doesn't see that as a problem.

Instead of further cracking open the ground, she uses her other hand to throw a hard blast of wind, hoping to knock Sarah back and maybe just have her trip and fall in all on her own. She can feel the burn under her feet, gritting her teeth and taking another step closer, trying to ignore the pain.

Sarah doesn't, either.

Someone needs to put Faye in her place. Someone needs to remind her that she can be knocked down just as easily as she knocks anyone else down. She finally lets out a cry - Faye is successful in knocking her back, but it only makes her angrier. Faye managed to draw blood, and that's simply unacceptable. She lifts her hand, curling her fingers tightly together. She's going to attempt to block the passageway to Faye's throat now.

... Yeah.

Sonny has only just started to process the fact that Sarah is his daughter, that he has a daughter who was free from his bullshit (but also lived one fucked up life which he wasn't a part of by no choice of his own).

He'd known he had a daughter with his wife who he lost and who he is careful to stay away from after what he'd done to her mother, but learning he had a daughter with Jolene too, it was something else. He may fucking hate Jolene, but his feelings towards Sarah are intensely different. He wants nothing more than to have a relationship with her but what is emotions and what is expressing them, and if he'd had any idea she existed, they would have met a long time ago. Sonny cares about Sarah, and he does not want to see her get hurt or hurt someone else. Witches live a scary damn life in the universe they come from. They're hunted. They're chained. Here it's different. Here witches fight for control. It's a better life, but all that power can get to a person's head.

"What the fuck." He sees the two of them, sees Faye lash out at Sarah (and there's protective rage immediately like a swift bull inside of his chest), and then sees Sarah try to choke Faye with her magic (and then there's this immediate need to put an end to it before one of them gets seriously hurt or worse. He doesn't want his daughter hurt like hell does he want her killing anybody either). Sonny rushes forward, placing himself between the two of them (not the smartes of moves, but if worse comes to worse, he can lash out with the demon to calm Faye down while he drags Sarah away). "Stop this bullshit powerplay. Now."

He's speaking to the both of them. His voice is low. His voice is fucking firm but it also has an edge that's all Sonny. The edge is anger, disapproval, concern.

A smirk of triumph that spreads across her features as Sarah is knocked back. She's not at all afraid to bury this little bitch in the ground, if that's what it takes. Her victory is incredibly short lived, though. A moment later, Sarah's magic seals up her airway.

Her mouth works open and closed, trying to pull a breath into her lungs, but she can't seem to manage it. Her eyes widen as the lack of air starts to make her panic, but she doesn't have long to worry about it. Suddenly there's someone else there. Faye doesn't know the guy, but as he speaks to her, she feels the anger just drain out of her. She still... can't breathe, but she's at least less pissed off and panicked about it.

Sarah grits her teeth as she slowly makes her way back up to her feet, her hand dropping to her side. As long as Faye was using her magic, she had a hard time staying off of the ground, which is humiliating in and of itself. Her hands are scraped lightly from the impact of being knocked down, but she's too caught off guard by Sonny's presence to really do anything about it now - she leaves Faye alone.

It should worry her, the glint in her eye as she finally watched Faye react.

She can't be sure if she got that from Sonny's demon or Jolene's Spirit. Maybe both. Maybe she's just destined to be a monster.

"This is none of your business," is what she says, though she's visibly shaken herself.

Sonny lets out a breath of relief when he sees that Sarah has stopped and that Faye can breathe again. This could have escalated. That power, it has a way He saw the glint in her eye, maybe he recognized it as his own. The darkness has always come from more than his demon. It's part of him too. He'll use that power of his against anyone that isn't Sarah, that isn't family (he's been down that road before, he won't do it again. can't do it again), but if it keeps things from getting ugly, he'll use it to protect her.

It's something he understands all too well. Having power, it can be dangerous. He recognizes the danger of it in both of their hands in this moment, and they're young women. They don't have to go down that road. Sarah, his daughter, doesn't have to go down that road.

"You're my business," Sonny says as he turns to Sarah suddenly, and he can see she's visibly shaken. He swallows thickly, looking between the two of them. "Step away from each other. No further blood has to be spilled tonight."

Faye draws in a deep, gasping breath as Sarah's magic releases its hold on her throat. As she catches her breath, she looks over at Sonny while he starts acting like he's got any right to tell either of them what to do.

"Who's this? Your guardian angel?" Sonny's ability keeps her calm, but snark still rolls right off her tongue. She knows that Tom would do the same if he were here, try to stop her. But Faye has never experienced a non boyfriend type of protectiveness. She's never had a father or a father figure. Maybe she's a little jealous- even if she doesn't fully grasp who Sonny is.

Sarah almost laughs.

Faye has no idea of the irony that comes with her calling Sonny an angel of anything. She almost laughs but doesn't, because Sonny has to go and do what Sonny does best. He doesn't have to use his powers to evoke emotion in her, and part of Sarah hates that. She wishes she could close over the ears of her heart so his words wouldn't reach her, but they do. "You're twenty years too late, you know."

The shakiness turns to agitation. It has nothing to do with the fight, but she sends Faye a steely glare anyhow. Like it's all her fault. Like she's the embodiment of everything that's ugly and violent inside of her. "Next time, he won't be here, and we'll finish what you started."

She stalks off, as though there's nothing (and everything) left to say.

Sonny winces at her words. He didn't know. He never knew she existed out there or he would have fucking stolen her away a long time ago, but he didn't know. It doesn't stop her from being angry, and he can't say she doesn't deserve to be angry regardless. She deserves every bit of anger she has. He only wishes he would have known.

"This is not how you gain power by attacking each other." This is said to Faye and to Sarah. "You're witches. You should be together instead of tearing each other down. The whole fucking world wants to tear you down and use you. You stand together."

It's the only way to survive. It's the way to find real, true power. It doesn't have to be like this.

When Sarah stalks off, Sonny is quick to follow after her before she can get too far. He's right behind her. "Sarah."

Faye, left alone in the wake of the father-daughter bonding, just glares at the pair of them before turning to head back to her own home to lick her wounds. There will be other days, other moments when Sarah won't have anyone to step in on her behalf.

And Faye will be there... waiting.
