So the thing about wishing for home and accidentally winding up with your place of employment is that that employment can now transfer to Teleios. Cami's had Rousseau's for about six months now, and she's managed to change it into the place that Sophie and Jane Anne loved to something that's a little more something of Teleios, even if she kept a lot of the New Orleans flair. It's something she couldn't bring herself to take away, that memory of home, even if she's far, far away.

The upper floors have been modified into a small loft for her and Hope, something simple and comfortable that's currently loaded with baby toys because when you're being spoiled by your Aunt Cami, you can never have too many. She still doesn't know why Hope came with her when she was brought into Teleios, but she is going to do everything in her power to keep her safe until Klaus our Hayley get here. It's not much power, given the measly human of it all, but that's why she hires attractive, strapping supernatural gentlemen to do her dirty work for her.

Currently she's behind the bar, with Hope in her playpen that she worked in there, just so she can keep an eye on her. She's more than willing to pour you a drink, listen to your troubles and woes and make sure that you leave her bar with your mind feeling a little lighter. After all, there's nothing more dangerous than a bartender who also happens to be a psychologist. She'll get what you're worried about out of you sooner or later.

Adam lets out a loud noise like a sigh when he sees the guy's got buddies. Seriously? All this over a poker game? He wasn't cheating. The man was just pissed to lose and took it too far and now fucking this. Adam had been holding his own against the one of them, but with his buddies joining in too, he's more or less fucked.

He doesn't realize Alek has seen and that he's headed out after to join in the fighting fray.

He's not used to having anyone watch his back, and even if they're brothers, he knows how much Alek is angry at him. The fact he'd jump up to help defend him isn't expected... at all so he's just going to be getting his ass kicked for a bit before Alek jumps in

A snarl tears from his throat.

He does just that, and quite literally - he jumps, lunges, toward one of the men to haul them off of Adam's back, all teeth and rage. It's not hard to access it. He's come a long way from the boy that would purposefully look for fights, but it doesn't mean the anger's ever fully gone away.

And maybe he's learned to make peace with the fact that it never will.

"You just endear yourself to anyone you meet, don't you?" Alek asks Adam, all while shoving his fist into someone's jaw, hearing a satisfying crack.

Adam ducks out of a fist flying his way but just barely when he suddenly realizes he is not alone in the middle of the fight. His surprise lasts long enough that it gives someone the chance to throw a punch in right at his cheek, which knocks him back.

He throws himself into the middle of the fray again, right at the person in the middle of it all.

"They started it for no fucking reason!" For once, he didn't start this, okay? He just tried to finish it outside. He should get some credit, right? "You don't have to--"

He gets a knee to his abdomen but he kicks one of the people down, and they don't get up. Thankfully. That's one down.

Alek rolls his eyes, because he doesn't believe that, Adam.

Maybe he chooses not to. It's hard to tell.

He snorts derisively all the same when he sees Adam get kneed in the abdomen. He's sort of irritated at the fact he's also absurdly defensive of the fact, helping Adam kick the asshole down until he doesn't get up. "Yeah, sure. It really looks like you have things under control here."

There are two guys left, and Adam turns to Alek, sucking in a sharp, pained breath because--

Well, he doesn't have it under control, and it's clear by the fact the original guy is punching him right in the face at the present moment when he's distracted by trying to figure out why Alek is helping him.

"Just surprised you give a fuck is all."

He says as he hoists himself up again.

One of the guys is throwing a punch right at Alek, and Adam makes a move to stop it.

However, it's Logan that ends up punching the final guy in the face until it knocks him down. Now there's three Hales and one guy left, and the one guy decides his best option is to get the fuck out of here.

He stares between the two of them, barely glancing Adam's way.

"What the hell is going on here?"

Alek's expression can basically be summarized with a

He has never seen Logan punch anyone, or respond with violence to anything.

"Ask him!" he answers, pointing to Adam like it's all his fault. It's not, but if there's anyone's disappointment he judiciously avoids, it's Logan's. He was just making sure Adam wasn't beaten to a bloody pulp ok.

Adam wants to remind everyone that he is the eldest Hale instead of Logan, and back when they were tinies, this position would have been very much reversed with Adam looking out for him and asking after him when something went down. Though Logan was always a tiny responsible kid and--

Did he just punch that dude?

"I didn't start it. I just pulled the guy outside cause he was insisting on fighting me."

Logan looks at Alek, narrowly avoiding any surprise and joy which might be in his expression (ahem), and then levels an unimpressed look in Adam's direction because he's not sure that he believes him. He doesn't like to be around Adam. There's not good feelings there.

"That's what you always say."

And Adam gets in a lot of fights. He always has even back when he was seventeen or eighteen.

"The least you can do is not get Alek involved in whatever you have going on."

Ugh, he hates having a conscience sometimes.

As much as he loves rankling Adam, he gets weirdly defensive when Logan starts in on him, and that in itself is complicated because he's closest to Logan and he'd snarl if anyone started in on Logan. Basically, he doesn't want this to turn into a different kind of fight than the one they just had.

"He's not lying," Alek finally mutters. "The prick couldn't take losing the poker game well, and Adam didn't want to start a fight in front of Hope."

And the prick had buddies, so what else was Alek supposed to do?

Logan is intensely responsible and rational about a lot of things, about almost all of the things. Adam? He's not one of those things. He is possibly the only thing where Logan will not act with a rational mind about the situation especially since his year in the forest/mountains, which is why he is possibly, unfairly a little hurt that Alek is standing up for him.

"Clearly, Adam is a beacon of do-good, and you two should spend more time with each other. My mistake."

It's said quickly and quietly before Logan heads into the bar just like dat.

Adam is just going to stare at everything like ????

He needs to be a billion times more drunk.. at the moment, okay? Okay.

He clears his throat lightly, swallowing thickly. Adam is not a huge fan of the effect he has on Logan given Logan was the kid he took care of most and looked out for the longest so. It's. Yeah. Adam glances at Alek, and then he shrugs his shoulders a bit. "Uh. Sorry."

Alek looks like he's been hit by a truck in his surprise.

One would think his jaw will drop to the floor any moment now. Seriously, when did Logan become a tough ass? Why is he being a tough ass? He turns to Adam like look what you've done, because clearly, this is Adam's fault and not something else that might be going on with Logan.

At least he apologizes. For something that wasn't even his fault. Ahem.

"Whatever," Alek says, shrugging his jacket back on and leaving Adam there outside of the bar.

His focus right now is getting Logan to actually talk to him, now that imminent physical danger is out of the way.
